{January 31, 2013}   Let’s Break the Ice

Ok, ok, I admit I didn’t know what to post about today so I got a little creative and looked online….I already answer 5 questions every Friday, but I thought it would be FUN for me to answer some today, too! 🙂

Since not everyone that reads my Blog may know me as well as others, I thought I could use this post for a kind of “Icebreaker” post by answering some Icebreaker Questions. If you are unsure of what “Icebreaker” Questions are, they are questions usually asked in a group, just for fun, to get to know each other. Hope you enjoy, whether you’ve known ME for awhile or are new to meeting me and my blog!

1.What’s your favorite room in the house and why?  The Bedroom! And NOT in a naughty way, so get your minds out of the gutter! One of my favorite spots to read is in bed and the DVR in the Bedroom is all mine! 😉
2.Tell how you are feeling today in the form of a weather report. (For example, partly cloudy, sunny with a chance for showers, etc.) Hmmm….Partly Cloudy with some Fog and chances of the Fog clearing later in the day and becoming Sunny 🙂
3.The greatest compliment I ever received was… “You inspired me” in regards to my dancing in a group as a plus size woman….It meant a lot to me to hear that I inspired someone that might have thought you had to be a size zero to get out there and dance but it’s also a great compliment anytime someone tells me I inspired them for whatever reason!
4.The gift I will never forget… is a little Angel figurine that came from a Dollar Store that my little niece Hannah gave me for Christmas one year when she was little bitty 🙂 It meant a lot because she didn’t have a lot of money so it was special to me that she spent some of her money on me.
5.If you were a car, what would you be and why? Well, first of all, I wouldn’t be a very happy camper cause a Car is not an exciting thing for me to be….If I’m being honest, I would probably be a Purple car(my favorite color) but an economical and safe, boring choice because even though choosing a fast convertible sounds fun…..that would NOT be me. I admit that I live a rather boring lifestyle and I’m NOT a risk taker
6.If they made a movie of your life, who would you want to play you? And would it be a comedy, a romantic-comedy, a drama, action or science fiction? My life would run across a lot of genres, a little comedy, a little romance, a little drama…not too much Action though and No Sci-Fi unless there’s something going on that I am out of the loop on! I’m not sure who would play me…..Melissa McCarthy would be hilarious, though AND she is a beautiful Plus Size woman! 🙂
7.If you could visit any place in the world where would you go and why? I want to go to Ireland! I’ve been to Wales and a teensy bit of England and I would LOVE to revisit them but something about Ireland sounds so magical to me! Oh, and I have a bit of Irish in my blood 🙂
8.What was your favorite food as a child? Do you eat it now? Macaroni and Cheese! I actually haven’t ate any of it in months because I am trying to eat healthier but I can promise that I WILL eat it sometime in the future, just rarely!
9.Share a quirky habit you have. How long have you had it? I just thought of one that might shock some people. When I sleep, I make sucking sounds like I am sucking on a bottle. LOL I’ve done this since I was a baby and I guess it must have come from falling asleep with a sippy cup. I can’t help it, although I pay for it cause sometimes I end up with blisters on the sides of my tongue from it. 😦 Luckily, my hubby thinks it’s cute!
10.Share a time when someone in your family did something that made you proud. I’m proud whenever any of my nieces or nephews accomplish something big. Most recently, my niece Grace won a Blue Ribbon for her Southdown Sheep and I was so proud of her for that!
11.Have you ever been told you look like someone famous? Who? No, I can’t remember ever being told I looked like someone famous BUT I have been told I looked like someone’s niece once LOL
12.What’s the worst thing you did as a little kid? (smeared cheese on the wall, accidentally called Japan, called one of your mom’s friends’ fat, inadvertently downloaded Pentagon files to your dad’s computer, etc.) LOL! I painted my whole number with Red Nail Polish and if that wasn’t bad enough, I also got it all over my sister’s vanity….it took my Mom forever to get it off me and you would THINK I learned my lesson, but NO! Another time, I painted myself all over with Black PERMANENT Marker! My Mom said I screamed and screamed as she scrubbed it all off me….Honestly, I don’t vividly remember these times so I’m glad I wasn’t traumatized or anything!
13.I really crack up when… I’m really sleepy….everything makes me laugh when I am really tired…well, at least at night when I have been up too long…if I get woken up early, I don’t laugh…I get grumpy THEN
14.What was your most memorable birthday? I’m going to say my 23rd? Hurricane Katrina hit ON my birthday and we lost power so I spent the day at home, in the dark…So it was the most memorable because of that BUT I also remember my sister calling us to tell me Happy Birthday and my little nephew, about 3 at the time, told me “Happy Birday!” and that just made everything all better! 🙂

Yea…14 is a strange number to end it on, but there you go! I am strange so why not? 🙂

Worth the trouble

“He couldn’t see why people made such a fuss about people eating their silly old fruit anyway, but life would be a lot less fun if they didn’t. And there was never an apple, in Adam’s opinion, that wasn’t worth the trouble you got into for eating it.” ~from Good Omens
