{September 12, 2013}   Good news, Bad news…

You don’t really get to choose which you hear first since I didn’t have time for a poll.

Bad news? I am considering breaking my post-a-day challenge for this year…even though I already missed one day. why? well…I have been working SO MUCH this week that my hands are aching from typing, and I just don’t have much left in me each day to do a post EVERY day. 😦  It’s not for sure yet, but it is very possible.

Other bad news…I finally did my measurements for the month and for the 2nd month in a row, they are exactly the same….my weight has been the same for over a month, and I just appear to be stuck in a plateau….:(

GOOD news though is I sang for the first time in YEARS in front of an audience, albeit small….I sang the National Anthem on 9/11 for a small ceremony at the zoo held by the Woodmen of the World Lodge I am a part of.  When I said yes, I had no idea WHO was going to be there, but it turned out the Mayor of our city was there along with a Lufkin Daily News reporter, so I found out today that a picture of me singing made today’s front page of our newspaper with a picture of the whole group further into the newspaper…wow! Shocked….It was nice to finally sing again. I have never lost my love for it, I think I just kind of gave up on it.  Something about losing my Nanny, who loved to hear me sing, kind of makes me want to pursue it more than I have lately…

The other good news is that my birthday is coming up in 12 days…yes, I am turning the dreaded 30…but then again, yay birthday! 🙂

This is all my aching hands can muster out for tonight….I will be back sooner rather than later, though! 🙂

{September 10, 2013}   So sue me

I missed yesterday’s post. Why? Well, I worked from 1:30 p.m. yesterday to almost 1:30 a.m. today doing my Medical Transcription. Other than going to the bathroom and snacking a teeny but during work, I took no breaks. This was my choice…I choose to accept extra files to help out even though I knew it would take me longer than others. Because of it, I didn’t want to switch over and due my blog…It was already taking long enough, I was getting tired of typing, and I didn’t want it to take even longer. So, sorry that I missed a day for the first time this year, but I don’t feel like I let myself down. Life and work just gets in the way. 🙂

{September 8, 2013}   I don’t wanna….

As I have said in the past, there is NOT enough hours in my day for all that I want and need to do! This makes it hard to blog daily when, like today, I really don’t want to.
So…I am here, posting something, but I know it’s not an interesting read at all.
I apologize for today’s post…but at least I posted…. 😦
Here’s to having a better post tomorrow! 🙂

Today’s Writing Prompt: Ex’s

Do you have an ex that you would ever consider dating again? (Or if not, tell us about how bad they all are!)

Nope, besides the fact that I am happily married, I just would rather not dredge up the past.  I have written about some exes before…it’s not that they are ALL bad, but if anything happens to my husband and I was single :(……and IF I ever wanted to date again, I would just find someone new….

{September 6, 2013}   Missing Haiku

I can’t believe it

I never expected it

That you would be gone….so soon.

Yea, I broke the Haiku rules and added 2 words… :p

Today’s Writing Prompt: Throwback

Posted: 05 Sep 2013 01:00 AM PDT

Often on Facebook, I see people with their Throwback Thursday picture. If you could go back and undo a photo that was taken of you, which one would it be and why?
I automatically know my answer to this, and I wish I could destroy every copy of this picture out there.  My yearbook photo from 10th grade was scary.  It was bad enough that I had really short curly hair that looked like an afro, and I had cat eye glasses, but the picture had my eyes looking crossed eyed…and let’s just say that I have never seen a less attractive photo.  Even though a Mom loves her kid regardless, even my Mom wanted me to get a new picture, and did not buy the one I got.  LOL…That is how bad it was! I never redid the photo because I was so embarrassed, so it ended up in the yearbook…which I did not purchase, and not just because I ended up dropping out of that school due to bullying.  😦

{September 3, 2013}   Temporarily on Hold

JUST got finished working.  All day today, I really thought I missed posting yesterday cause I never did my Monday weight loss post.  I was prepared to admit that I had missed a day in my yearly blogging daily goal.  And I was also completely fine with that because anyone who went through what I went through over the weekend would have understandably missed a day.  BUT…I logged in here to do today’s post and realized I DIDN’T miss a day after all.  I had posted a One Minute post EARLY Monday morning and had completely forgotten about it.  I am just SO tired and my days are all running together that I honestly had no idea.

As for my weight loss posts, my scale died on me last week. 😦 I tried changing the batteries and it still is stuck on 0….so until I find another scale to use, I can’t really tell you if I have lost or not.  I still plan to do my measurements for next week and I will update everyone when I can, but the numbers on the scale are temporarily on hold.

This is all…I am tired and hungry…and need to get off this computer!
