Today’s Writing Prompt: MiddlePosted: 06 Aug 2013 04:49 AM PDT

Tell us about the middle of something, anything!

Being in the middle of a long weight loss journey is what I am.  When I think of being in the middle of it, I think of a plateau, where you are stuck in the middle of your journey.  Currently, I am in this plateau, and the only thing that keeps me going is thinking of climbing a mountain.  Climbing up a mountain is difficult, but once you reach the top, you can look back on all your progress and smile, while also looking below to the journey ahead.  You may have to walk on level ground for a bit before you reach the other side and start on the path down the mountain, but eventually you WILL get there.  It may be a rocky path down the slope of the mountain once you get there, but knowing the other side IS there and if you keep on walking, you will reach it…. that’s the incentive I need to keep pushing on! 🙂

Worth the trouble

“He couldn’t see why people made such a fuss about people eating their silly old fruit anyway, but life would be a lot less fun if they didn’t. And there was never an apple, in Adam’s opinion, that wasn’t worth the trouble you got into for eating it.” ~from Good Omens
