{May 2, 2013}   Day 2 of 30 Day Reading Challenge!

readingchallDay 2-A book you’ve read more than three times

I rarely reread books because I have so many unread books that it’s hard for me to justify it, but there was a book my Nanny had at her house that I remember reading over and over when I would come to visit as a kid. I remember it being a lot longer but the book was only about 62 pages. Interesting how perspective changes. The book was called, “Dearest Debbie” and it’s been well over two decades since I read it last. The main thing I remember about it was an adopted girl who died and it was sad but something about it interested me enough to want to read it more than once. I didn’t even remember the author but through Goodreads, I see that it was by Dale Evans Rogers. Not sure if my Nanny still has it or she gave it to me and it could be somewhere at my parents but if I find it again, I would definitely reread to see what it’s like now that I’m so much older. Have YOU read this book? If so, what did you think? AND what’s a book that YOU’VE read more than three times?

I’m not familiar at all with the book, but there’s another book by Dale Evans Rogers that I’ve read a couple of times – “Angel Unaware”. It’s also incredibly short (I’m not sure how many pages though). It’s a true story about her daughter Robin who had Down syndrome and passed away at only a couple of years old. Very, very sad, but excellent book.
