Welcome to my Spotlight Sunday! Every Sunday I put someONE or someTHING I love IN the Spotlight!
Anyone is welcome to use the idea on their own blog and spotlight whoever or whatever THEY choose, but if you do, please use my lovely graphic that my friend made somewhere in your post to show that the idea came from here! And I would love it if you left the link in my comments, so I could go check out what YOU spotlighted!
Today, I am putting Mrs. Kimberly Karpov-Kinrade in the Spotlight! 🙂 On her books, she goes by Kimberly Kinrade, though!
I first learned of Author Kimberly Kinrade through Pixel of Ink which showcases free and very inexpensive Ebooks on Amazon. The first book of hers I read was, “Forbidden Mind” and I fell in love with it and wanted to read the next two in the trilogy but I try to not pay for many of my Ebooks, if possible. Months later and Vickie Ann of Innovative Online Book Tours was looking for people to read Ebooks for free in exchange for Amazon Reviews. If you started reading a book and didn’t like it, you could give up on it and request another so I didn’t have to worry about drudging through something I didn’t like. (So far, I haven’t had that problem once, by the way!)
I was overjoyed when I saw she had Mrs. Kinrade’s “Forbidden Trilogy” as review books and I kindly asked to read them first. I’m so thankful for the chance I had to read both of them because I have now fallen in love with not only the trilogy but also her writing, in general! I HAVE to recommend this Trilogy to everyone who loved “The Hunger Games”. I truly believe this trilogy was the best thing I have read since them and I anxiously await a Movie version of it someday!
Since reading her “Forbidden Trilogy”, I have had a chance to read 2 short stories and a Novella by her. All three of these I won, along with the others who attended her online launch party for the Omnibus Edition of the “Forbidden Trilogy”. The two short stories were “Eye of Newt” and “Son of Destiny“, both of which I liked and am hoping for a full storyline evolving from soon. The Novella, “Bits of you and pieces of me” was phenomenal! It was full of short stories and poems of love, heartwrenching moments of abuse and loss, followed by a rejuvenation and belief in love again. It was SO different from the others but so well written that I just adored it!
She also has a Kid’s series out called “The Three Lost Kids” which I haven’t read but it looks like a fun read for both young and older kiddos! This series just released its 6th book, I believe and is still a continuing series!
Her most recent release is a short story called, “Sapphire Eyes” and is NOT for kids! It’s an Erotic story and though I haven’t read it yet, from what I have heard, it’s pretty steamy! It’s also currently .99 on Amazon if anyone wants to check it out! 🙂 It’s definitely on MY To Read list!
Her next book will be released this coming Monday…which is…tomorrow and it’s going to be Book One in a 5 book series in the New Adult Romance/Paranormal Category. I’m usually not a big fan of Romance, but between the Paranormal aspect and Mrs. Kinrade’s great writing, this is definitely the exception to my rule! Book One is called, “Seduced by Innocence” and I’m very excited about its release and doubly so because on the first day of its release, the price will be knocked down from $3.99 on Amazon to…$1.99! I will DEFINITELY be using my Amazon Card to purchase this!
If you’re reading this and think you might be interested in this author’s books, I have a special invite for you! Right now, She is celebrating a second week of her Launch Party for “Seduced by Innocence” on Facebook and I know she would love for you to join her party! Come join, chat with other fans of this author and enter for giveaways and cool swag! Just for entering last time, I had the privilege of not only winning the 2 short stories and novella by her BUT I also got a signed postcard from her of one of the main characters of the “Forbidden Trilogy”! She is such a sweet, giving person and it’s so much fun to not only be able to read great books by an author you admire but to also be able to chat with her on Facebook and feel like she cares about her fans? An amazing thing, indeed!
