TheRealSharon's Blog

This is a repost of a post I did around the beginning of last year on a day a lot like today.

It’s been one of those gloomy, rainy days today…the kind where if you have to get out and go somewhere, you drag yourself everywhere wishing you could just curl up in bed with a good book or just sleep in all day. Luckily, since I didn’t HAVE to be anywhere today, I got to sleep in and those are the best rainy days for me. For the people that DID have to go anywhere today, yuck, I feel for you cause looking out the window today, it has been dark and miserable looking for errand running and/or job working.

I have to confess that I don’t have anything big or important to talk about today, but that’s ok because even pro bloggers struggle to come with up truly intriguing, interesting blogs day after day after day. So today is just a blog about the rainy day outside with a little treat added.

On this skating special on TV today, I had the pleasure of hearing this acapello group called, “Straight no Chaser” and they are awesome and I think EVERYONE should at least give them at least one listen. If they are not for you, that’s fine, but at least you had a new experience, right?

Here’s a video of them doing a medley of “I’m yours” by Jason Mraz and the classic “Somewhere over the Rainbow”…which is very fitting for today because you can’t have a rainbow without a rainy day….like we have today.

Worth the trouble

“He couldn’t see why people made such a fuss about people eating their silly old fruit anyway, but life would be a lot less fun if they didn’t. And there was never an apple, in Adam’s opinion, that wasn’t worth the trouble you got into for eating it.” ~from Good Omens
