I remember growing up in the 80’s playing with Paper Dolls that my nanny made me and I remember finding a CD collection of 50’s and 60’s music….yes, CD’s….my nanny had bought one of those collections they advertise. Before I had my own huge collection of music, I would play these CD’s and dance along. I always found music such as “Rock around the clock” to be fun and full of energy. In junior high, we had 50’s day once and I actually wore some clothes from the 50’s along with an old class ring on the necklace. I loved wearing my hair in a high ponytail with the little curly ribbon dangling off it and the big skirt that felt like it was meant for dancing in. I would often think of what it would have been like to be living back then. I’ve always been a girly girl who wore dresses and skirts to be comfortable instead of pants so the dress code would have been wonderful to me.
Now, I’m older and I like the time period I was born in just fine now…although the world is no where near perfect and never will be. BUT I have a special place in my heart for this time period when I was not even thought of yet….and I love looking at the vintage photos they had in catalogs back then. I also LOVE the ones where the women have some funny little saying…but I don’t own any of them. *Hint, Hint* for any one of my family and friends reading this. Might be a good gift idea! đ
I wanted to share some vintage photos I found online that I absolutely loved and thought others might like as well!

If I was a big lover of turkey, I would want to jump into this picture!

I wonder how many men we could fit in a phone booth nowadays? Do they still make these?

Hmmm....that outfit on the far right looks like something Lady Gaga would have worn....

CUTE!

Run, puppy! Who knows when her swinging fit will stop?!

Yummy Pepsi! đ

This one is from 1945...but it's a classic, got to love it! đ
