“He couldn’t see why people made such a fuss about people eating their silly old fruit anyway, but life would be a lot less fun if they didn’t. And there was never an apple, in Adam’s opinion, that wasn’t worth the trouble you got into for eating it.” ~from Good Omens

Have to say cleaning up human and animal waste is gross…but vomit with peas and carrots in it, comes a close second!…yuck
Yuck! I didn’t think about it at the time, but mommies have to clean up a lot of human waste AND vomit! Ewww!
I think being a CSI would be kind of cool, but I heard the “real job” is quite boring. Eventually, you’d be a little immune to the “mess” almost a “seen it before” kind of thing. What about a mortician? That takes a special personality. I knew a lady who’s husband did “lovely work,” as she so put it…giving me his business card when I was 25. I wasn’t expecting anyone I knew to die any time soon. So it was weird.

I wasn’t talking about a Crime Scene Investigator…I was talking about the people who clean crime scenes. The ones that clean up the blood, guts, fecal remains, etc. after an accident or murder OR when a body has been found that laid there for days or even weeks and all the nasty stuff has drained through the carpets and even the flooring…yuck! I actually watched a show on TV about it once…forgot what it was called, but it was a pretty yucky job and hard, too. The turnover rate for people in that kind of job is high…most people only do it for a short time and wear themselves out.
Okay, I’ll play five questions… 100% Cotton 200 thread count sheets (yes, I’m picky – higher thread counts are too soft, lower is too stiff, and 200 is just right), EST and Sister’s Cocoa (hot chocolate laced with Carolan’s). Yes, I skipped #3 and I think your #5 ranks right up there for EWE.
I don’t even know what thread count my stuff is….lol…but it’s comfortable enough…..What does EWE stand for? And I might have a “DUH!” moment when you tell me, but right now I am lost as to the meaning. 🙂
I agree with you on that #5 answer. Yuck! 🙂
Yep, very yucky indeed!
Cotton sheets and hot cocoa are my choices too. And yes, human bodily fluids, not lovely. I can only tolerate them coming out of my kids’ but absolutely not other people. Although I have no problem helping someone who got hurt, no fear there.
I think I would try to put my gross out feelings aside as well if I saw someone hurt and just try to do whatever I could.
Yeah I personally can’t imagine working in a slaughtering house or something, that would be really gross to me.
Ewww! I agree, that WOULD be gross!
