{October 24, 2011}   Mirthful Monday-Quotes

It’s time for another Mirthful Monday!

This week is dedicated to quotes. Quotes that make you smile and quotes that make you laugh, a little of both and I hope you will see at least a few you have never heard before! 🙂

These next quotes come from a book I own called “Wit & Wisdom of Famous American Women”

Tallulah Bankhead: “I met the most marvelous man. He’d be wonderful for you.”

Peggy Joyce: “Is he my type?”

Tallulah Bankhead: “Sure—-he’s alive and breathing.”

I think my favorite here is the “Friend’s are God’s way of apologizing for our families” as it might be true. Happy Monday!

Yea, I have definitely thought that myself once or twice! 🙂

That sums up my day today… xoxoox

Haha, I love the one about the idiot! It’s so true.

Glad you enjoyed the quotes! 🙂

Marilyn says:

So sorry I missed this on Monday! It would have been a better day had I read them. Favorite is this “An archaeologist is the best husband a woman can have. The older she gets, the more interested he is in her.” Probably because of my age!

And Agatha Christie, the writer of that very quote, actually married an archaeologist! 🙂

eof737 says:

Excellent and the last one made me smile… happiness is not a perfume. 🙂

I sometimes wish it was, though!

Judith says:

I have always loved the Agatha Christie quote, but sorry Sharon, she was British not American. Wonder how she got into that book?
Anyway I have been looking for an archeologist for a few years now. 🙂

I know she was british….did I say she was american? I live her books, she is my favorite mystery writer

Meant to say love….trying to reply with my phone

“He couldn’t see why people made such a fuss about people eating their silly old fruit anyway, but life would be a lot less fun if they didn’t. And there was never an apple, in Adam’s opinion, that wasn’t worth the trouble you got into for eating it.” ~from Good Omens
