{October 21, 2011}   Five Question Friday for October 21st,2011

As always, you may answer these questions in your own post or in the comments section!

This 5 Question Friday was brought to you by:

On to the questions!

1. Where do you escape to when you’ve had enough? I escape in to a book..Reading is always an escape, whether it’s into a story where someone else is in a worse position so it makes you feel like you have it better or it’s a story where life is like a fairy tale and you imagine yourself escaping away into the story and out of the hardship of life

2. What shows are you watching this fall? As far as new shows? Whitney, The New Girl and Up all Night are a few, but I am behind a few episodes because I save them for my hubby to watch with me! I’ll also be watching Glee when it returns along with Raising Hope….I’m excited to check out the new shows “Once upon a time” and “Grimm”

3. What was the longest roadtrip you’ve ever taken and where did you go? If you’re counting road trip, like just in a car, I guess I would have to say when I went to church camp the year I graduated high school… was about a 6-7 hr. ride from Austin to Texoma(border of Texas and Oklahoma)…but I’m not sure because I also traveled in a van from here to Biloxi, Mississippi for a school trip and that was probably longer, but I just don’t remember HOW long it was…..

4. Do you plan on taking your kids to Disney World? WHEN I have kids, maybe….I would like to, but that will be years in the future cause even if I had a child within the next year or two, I would want them to be old enough to enjoy the trip….

5. What is something people would  be surprised to know about you?
I don’t really know. This is a toughie because I feel like my blog has already divulged most of the things people would be surprised to know….
Maybe the fact that I used to play an online MMORPG(Multimedia Online Role Playing Game) years ago. It was called Tibia and it was a game where you do quests and kill monsters and play with and against people from all over. One of my best friends and her husband were obsessed with the game and got me to playing it. I wasn’t as obsessed with it, but I did play it for a good year or two, off and on and it was fun. I eventually lost interest and moved on, though. Some people might find that interesting because I’m not the sort of person you would think would play those sort of games, but there’s all sorts that play them. You would really be surprised!
This is where Redneck post is and mine should I add your responses too??
Love ya, Jackie
Glad you feel better… ♥

Escaping through a book has been my life long companion and life saver…
I knew you were a gamer… You wrote an insightful post on it.
Happy weekend to you! 🙂

I don’t remember writing a post about role playing games but I have admitted to playing games on Facebook. Hope you had a good weekend yourself!

1. I escape to my room and tell kids that grandma’s in “time out” which gives me about 5 minutes to myself, longer if the mommy knows I need it.
2. I’m watching “Ringer”.
3. Longest road trip was from Florida to Ohio because we volunteered to hop the “wrong” bus after overhearing talk about more passengers than seats on the “right” bus. Both headed north; we just took the scenic route.
4. No… I don’t do large theme parks.
5. My surprise thing is… I only have one pair of shoes, three if you count slippers and that pair of 5″ wooden clogs that I can walk in anymore. (That surprises ME… I used to have hoarder tendencies, now I think I’m becoming a minimalist.)

I’ve also been watching “The Ringer” 🙂
I have quite a few pairs of shoes but I tend to stick to one pair of flip flops, which I wear cold or warm weather. 😀

“He couldn’t see why people made such a fuss about people eating their silly old fruit anyway, but life would be a lot less fun if they didn’t. And there was never an apple, in Adam’s opinion, that wasn’t worth the trouble you got into for eating it.” ~from Good Omens
