On to the questions!

1. Do you prefer your ice cream in a bowl or in a cone? I typically prefer a bowl or at least a bowl UNDER the cone because it melts so fast and makes such a mess! Also, if it’s a regular cone, I’m not that fond of the taste so it’s like something extra that I would rather do without. If it’s one of the chocolate cones though or those sundae cones like at the grocery store….then I would take the cone over the bowl!
2.ย What three things do you love the smell of? Babies(except for when they have stinky diapers!)…There’s just something so nice about the way little babies smell ๐Ÿ™‚
I also adore the smell of Roses and I love Citrus flavored body sprays….and I’m going to add a fourth and say Cucumber Melon lotion smell! ๐Ÿ™‚
3. Giftcardsย or no? (In regards to gift giving…) I think they are great for people who seem to already have everything or you just don’t know what to buy for them. I have some people in my family that are pretty picky about what they like BUT I know the stores they love so getting them a gift card is a great option for them. If the recipient is a big lover of gift cards, it really helps as well!
For people who are easier to shop for, I prefer to buy a gift if I can, though. I like taking the time to find something really special that I know they will love and I always think it means so much more when someone has taken the time to get a gift versus the card. Not to mention, I love to find cool things no one else would buy the person…I love the uniqueness! ๐Ÿ™‚
Also if you have a certain amount that you’re looking to spend, say $20…if you give a card, that’s $20 there…BUT if you buy a gift or gifts, you might be able to find sales where you can get more than one item that was originally marked higher so your $20 limit ends up looking like you spent a whole lot more. So I also like how I can end up giving more but staying in budget instead of just giving a card. I guess I learned this from my Mom!
4. What sports did you play in high school if any and do you still play them? The only sports I played were in P.E. and I avoided that as much as possible…I was the kid picked last so I hated P.E. I wasn’t very athletic either but I think I could have done decent if I had been treated better. I actually liked playing basketball when I had the chance and could do an under the leg trick my brother taught me. I remember the ONE time people actually passed me the ball in P.E. and I scored a 2 point shot….No one ever passed to me again, so who knows if I might have been any good or it was just luck?
5. Were you in band in high school? What instrument did you play? Nope, I was a Choir kid but my best friend in school played drums in the Marching Band

  1. 1. Bowl so I can mush it up. Preferably coffee flavor.
    2. Bread baking smell. Babies good, too.
    3. Gift cards ok., they can get what they want
    4, No sports in hs
    5. No band, but I played the flute( tried to) in grade school but not hs.

  2. Sharon, did you get my e mail about murder and kill..my computer is not being very good at the moment..it says that e mails have been sent but then send s them back to me.. I wrote kill…it was Tilly B who said it was murder !!

    1. No, I don’t check my e-mail very much at all. I knew it wasn’t you that said that, that’s why I replied on her comment specifically rather than separately….I was just curious to where she had read that cause I had never heard that…

  3. 1. I used to eat the ice cream right out of the container.
    2. Garlic and onions sauteeing.
    3. Gift cards of course
    4. No sports–I sucked. The kids used to toss for it to see who would get me ’cause I was always the last one picked. I did like tennis, but I never joined a team.
    5. I played the flute, but I never hanky pankied with it like that chick on “American Pie”

  4. 1. Do you prefer your ice cream in a bowl or in a cone? I like either, but I really like to have my ice cream on a cone in the summer. That just seems right!
    2. What three things do you love the smell of? I’m with you on the citrus smells. I also like vanilla candles and the smell of a cake baking. ๐Ÿ™‚
    3. Giftcards or no? (In regards to gift givingโ€ฆ) Like you, I give gift cards when I’m not sure what to get. I much rather give a gift that I picked out.
    4. What sports did you play in high school if any and do you still play them? None. I was home-schooled, so there wasn’t any school sports. Thankfully!
    5. Were you in band in high school? What instrument did you play? Nope. ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. 1. I like strawberry in the cone, all other flavors in a bowl.
    2. Oh gosh… I love scented candles, especially hazelnut or vanilla varieties… and the 3rd scent (dare I admit?) is a combination of leather, tobacco smoke, clothes washed in Tide, and a particular rarely used cutting oil because that combo on a man is like oooobabies, come talk to me. ๐Ÿ˜€
    3. Giftcards NO… but I will give universal green giftcards (cash) on occassion, or re-gift giftcards given to me after checking to make sure they are still good after sitting in a drawer for years.
    4. No sports… but I did love to roller skate, ride bikes, shoot targets, and play mini-golf.
    5. No band.

I like your five question Fridays… they’re fun! Thanks for letting me play.

    1. Very interesting smell choice! Sounds like something I would read in a book! ๐Ÿ™‚ And I have never heard cash called universal green giftcards. That’s a neat name for cash. I have given cash before, too, but when I do, I like to pick out a card to put the money in. Whenever my mom got a purse, bag or wallet for someone(actually she still does!), she would always put a little money in it. She always said that you can’t give a purse without money in it!

  6. On the gift card thing . . . my aunt always gives me gift cards or money because she says I can make it stretch a lot further than she can! (I’m a bit of a frugal shopper :P)

I only buy presents for the kids in the family. I’m too poor to shop for the grown-ups, hehehe. They all get hand-made gifts from Abby. In general, I try to avoid gift cards, but my cousins kids have everything. I am so clueless when it comes to shopping for them, so I usually end up with a gift card.
