{September 23, 2011}   Five Question Friday for September 23rd,2011

Welcome!

As always, you may answer these questions in your own post or in the comments section!

This 5 Question Friday was brought to you by:

On to the questions!

1. Dream job…realistic and completely unrealistic. Realistic, perhaps SOME day-to be a PAID blog writer and a book writer….Oh and to be a Mommy because that is definitely a job, but one that seems to be so rewarding 🙂
Unrealistic-Singer/songwriter/actress<—-my childhood dream
I don’t believe any dream is completely impossible but that one is a little further out of reach
2. Do you fart in front of your significant other? LOL…I don’t do it just to do it, but I am comfortable enough around him that if it happens, it doesn’t embarrass me unlike when it happened on our first date. He laughed about it and I started crying, then he gave me a hug and told me it was fine. Now it doesn’t bother me…We are only human, it happens!
3. What’s the furthest you’ve ever traveled from home? How far and where was it? From Texas to Wales, UK….not sure just how many miles that is but it’s across the ocean so pretty far!
4. How do you celebrate birthday for your kids? Family only or friends? … Alternate for those without kiddos: How did you celebrate birthdays as a kid? SO GLAD they gave an alternate here! As a small kid, I had birthday parties with friends and gifts….Then in my later pre-teens and teens, I would just go out to eat with my family and a friend or two, then have a sleepover or something with pizza and watch movies
5. Fave thing about fall? Fall starts around my birthday, for one! 🙂 I love how the temperatures start getting a lot cooler in the fall and I usually love the fall colors, but with all the drought we have had lately, it’s not going to look the same THIS fall

1. Dream job…realistic and completely unrealistic. When I was little I wanted to be everything and even now thats still the case sometimes. So I don’t think I have a realistic dream job. Out of all my unrealistic ones I’d have to say the most far fetched would be an explorer like Josh Gates or something…lol…
2. Do you fart in front of your significant other? I don’t have one but if I did I would…it’s natural and lets face it if a guy is that grossed out about that he probably doesn’t belong with me.
3. What’s the furthest you’ve ever traveled from home? How far and where was it? I’ve only ever traveled back and forth to Texas and Indiana…So when I lived in Texas the farthest I ever traveled was to Indiana and now it’s the other way around. It’s about 1020 miles apart and it takes around 18 hours driving straight through to get there.
4. How do you celebrate birthday for your kids? Family only or friends? … Alternate for those without kiddos: How did you celebrate birthdays as a kid? When I was a child I didn’t have big birthday parties…once and a while there where a few friends that just stopped by but usually just family.
5. Fave thing about fall? Sharon’s Birthday 😛 …Halloween and fall colors.

1)I remember when you wanted to be a gymnast and I think you could have been if you had taken classes. Then you wanted to be a Marine Biologist and I know you still love marine animals, that sort of job is not unrealistic, there’s schooling for it. You would be awesome as an explorer like Josh Gates or even as an assistant, I could totally see you doing things like that. You are definitely daring enough! 🙂
2) So true! If someone is going to eventually spend their lives with you, they have to be comfortable with the good AND the bad.
3) I would love to do the drive to Indiana and back myself sometime….I know it would be tiring, but it would be cool to do a road trip and stop at places along the way…if only money grew on trees…
4)I wish you lived here so we could celebrate birthdays together! 🙂
5) Awww…Chad read this and said someone is sucking up! LOL….Nah, I don’t think so…my birthday is just a good thing about Fall….Texas Fall weather is better than Indiana’s though…Fall there means a day closer to snow…blecch! I forgot about Halloween coming up….not surprised that it’s one of your favorite things though, you guys have all those cool haunted attractions close by

1) Actually gymnast would have been really unrealistic…cause as soon as I hit puberty I got something that most gymnast don’t have…boobs. Marine Biologist wouldn’t have been had I gone right out of school to work on it. Being an explorer would be awesome…but I’m not into venomness spiders (or nonvenomness ones)…they always show him walking through spider webs…If I did that I’d be freaking out so bad.
2) It’s not exacly BAD just not ladylike…
3) I love making the trip…it’s the company I want to rush away from…lol
4) I wish I lived closer too…then I’d be able to celebrate your birthday with you too
5) Tell Chad that I just love you more than he does. haha

1)LOL…Actually as far as the gymnast thing, if you start as a little kid and are a hardcore gymnast, it stunts your growth so that your body doesn’t grow as normal….Therefore, gymnasts hit puberty later in life and can often never gain the height and the body shape they would have if they weren’t a gymnast….That’s why it’s so difficult if a gymnast gets really badly injured and has to quit gymnastics for a long period of time…when they stop, it can trigger puberty since they aren’t not as active anymore causing them to gain weight and height, as well as other things(boobs) and when they return, they may not ever be able to be as great of a gymnast again because every inch they grow can drastically affect their gymnastics….
3) What do you mean? You want to rush away from ME? 😦
5) HAHAHA! Yea, but in a different way because I am straight….LOL

Okay, I’ll play too… but first, love your answers! Hope your dreams come true… do you speak Cymreag? (I bought children’s books thinking it would come easy as if the DNA in my bones could remember a language forgotten in generations before – totally dumb, eh?)

1. Dream job – realistic and unrealistic rolled into one – artist.
2. Oh no, I was raised not to do that… ladies do not fart, at least not around other people, she must excuse herself to fart privately in the bathroom. (But if it sneaks out, oh well… I’m not my mother, lol.)
3. Furthest traveled from home – when I was 22, I sold everything I owned and essientially ran away from my life, ended up on Santa Rosa Island off the coast of Florida until I ran out of money – only took about six weeks.
4. My daughter is raised now (she’s 27 🙂 ) so she plans her own celebrations – I do the family meal thing; this year, her daughter helped me bake and decorate mommy’s cake.
5. My favorite Fall thing is the colorful trees.

I’m afraid I have never ever heard of Cymreag, LOL…so I am pretty confident in saying that I don’t….
1) From what I have seen on your blog, I think you are a great artist. 🙂
2) HAHAHA! I know people always say it’s unladylike and such and I try to go away from people or to the bathroom if need be when I am in public, sometimes it just happens beyond your control….you can’t help it. As far as if it’s just me and my husband, I’m not going to get up and go in another room, I’ll just let it happen and he’ll usually laugh or be like, Ewww, baby and we’ll both laugh about it….There’s no reason I should have to go hide at my own house….lol
3)WOW! That takes a lot of guts…I don’t know if I could have done that, I have always felt I am too dependent to do something about that….I respect those that can do it. Hopefully your life is more on track now where you don’t have to run away from it.
4) How cool that your daughter is about my age! How old is her daughter? I don’t have any kids yet but I can’t wait too! 🙂
5) Those trees are one of my fav. things too but sadly most of the trees in TX. are dead or dying from all the fires and drought 😦

Funny thing about parenthood, it’s both rewarding and ungratifying, so get your mind ready for that!

I will try! I have a feeling my mind won’t be able to fully comprehend until the time when I actually AM a mom, though. 🙂

ElizOF says:

Your unrealistic dream job is not completely unrealistic… You have acted and could do more of it, get discovered, get a part in a show, movie, TV, and next thing, your name will be in lights… Girl it’s possible. 🙂

Very true! You just never know! 🙂
