{September 11, 2011}   A Short Tribute and Planting Gardens

It’s the 10th Anniversary of 9/11. Even the people who want to forget won’t be able to hide from it today. There are TV memorials, shows about 9/11, movies, posts on Facebook and countless blogs that will be talking about this. My words will be added to the millions of others.

I simply want to let those who suffered in 9/11 to know that my heart aches for what you have been through and I pray that neither you or anyone else will ever have to go through anything like this again. I hope that this can be a day where we remember the good that happened on the day. The people who survived miraculously, the ones who risked their lives to save others, and ALL the people who gave of their time and love to help others during that time. There were many angels that showed up on that day and our nation came together in a way that some may have thought improbable. Today, we remember the ones who died but it’s also a reminder for the rest of us to give thanks that WE are alive and here today. We were spared….NOW what are we going to do with that blessing?

I would now like to share a little gardening advice….I know very little about true gardening and I doubt I ever will but I think everyone could do with knowing how to plant a LIFE Garden. 🙂

How To Plant Your Garden

First, you come to the garden alone,
while the dew is still on the roses …

FOR THE GARDEN OF YOUR DAILY LIVING,
PLANT THREE ROWS OF PEAS:

1.  Peace of mind
2. Peace of heart
3. Peace of soul

PLANT FOUR ROWS OF SQUASH:

1. Squash gossip
2. Squash indifference
3. Squash grumbling
4. Squash selfishness

PLANT FOUR ROWS OF LETTUCE:

1. Lettuce be faithful
2. Lettuce be kind
3. Lettuce be patient
4. Lettuce really love one another

TO CONCLUDE OUR GARDEN WE MUST HAVE THYME:

1.  Thyme for each other
2. Thyme for family
3.  Thyme for friends

WATER FREELY WITH PATIENCE AND CULTIVATE WITH LOVE.

Hmmm…maybe I will use MY blessing to work on my Garden of Life…what do you think? 🙂

Worth the trouble

“He couldn’t see why people made such a fuss about people eating their silly old fruit anyway, but life would be a lot less fun if they didn’t. And there was never an apple, in Adam’s opinion, that wasn’t worth the trouble you got into for eating it.” ~from Good Omens
