{September 3, 2011}   Showing Favorites

I was just reading through my subscribed blogs and read one that did a post on her favorite things. I loved her idea SO much that I decided to do one on some of MY favorite things.

So here goes!

  • Holding a baby in my arms
  • Seeing my nieces, nephew and great nephews
  • Unexpected wind that blows by and cools you off on a hot day
  • Baja Blast drink that can only be found at Taco Bell
  • Watching movies with my husband
  • Singing at the top of my lungs
  • Being around people that I can completely BE myself with
  • East Texas Sunsets
  • The first moment you go outside and can smell AND feel Fall in the air
  • Reading and shopping for BOOKS
  • The days when a blog flows out of me naturally and I feel like I accomplished something big
  • Some of the GREAT friends I have made through WordPress
  • Driving while listening to music
  • Hearing a baby’s laugh or smelling a newborn baby
  • Laying my head down and relaxing after a long day
  • Dancing like a crazy person when no one is looking
  • Cuddling with my husband
  • Playing board games with family
  • Learning something new and exciting!

Well, there’s my list, although I could have gone on for ages, I suppose! I’m glad I decided to do my own little list. It really reminded me of all I have to be thankful for and how blessed I truly am. Sometimes when times get you down, it’s easy to forget.

What are some of YOUR favorite things? Do you share any favorites with me?

I love the photo’s thanks so much

You’re welcome! 🙂

Ah, that’s fresh, crispy smell of fall, I love it too! And I love the smell of freshly cut grass in the spring. And the smell of the ground after a good rain. And the smell of the ocean. Can you tell I love to feel connected to the earth?
Other favorites are Nutella (I can’t live without it), Diet Coke, beautiful sunsets, times when I’m the only one awake in my house (I love the peace and quiet!), cuddling with my kids, reading, writing, doing something artistic.
You’re right, it’s a great post idea and I loved reading your favorites!

Yep, I can tell you love being connected to the Earth! 🙂
Never tried Nutella. My oldest sister also LOVES Diet Coke!
Glad you liked the idea!

Thanks for the pingback. Glad you liked my idea. Oh BTW I thought I had subscribed to your blog but Iseemed to have been dropped off so have just resubscribed. 🙂

That’s OK, WordPress has glitches sometimes so you might HAVE and it just didn’t register.
I loved your idea and I also love Sound of Music, in general! 🙂

What a great idea and I love the pictures you added too. 🙂

Wasn’t it? Glad you liked! 😀

What a lovely idea! the top of my list would also be holding a baby in my arms. Just spent the last 10days with Baby Grandaughter, she is abosloutely adorable and such a happy baby! I now feel broody!

Aww! Your granddaughter is beautiful, too! 🙂 You are a very lucky grandma!
I’m not even a mommy yet but I adored holding each one of my nieces and nephews! They are my world. 🙂

Worth the trouble

“He couldn’t see why people made such a fuss about people eating their silly old fruit anyway, but life would be a lot less fun if they didn’t. And there was never an apple, in Adam’s opinion, that wasn’t worth the trouble you got into for eating it.” ~from Good Omens
