{March 10, 2011}   Weekly Photo Challenge:Shadow

This was the hardest challenge for me because I am a beginner when it comes to photography and this one really forced me to have to think. I don’t have the best camera in the world for doing photography so here’s a few of the ones I took and let me know what you think!

"Worry often gives a small thing a big shadow"-Swedish Proverb

If you’re a reader of my blog, you know that I have been daily reading in “The Women’s Book of Confidence”. I recently started the section titled “Befriending Fear” and this proverb was listed right underneath it. Seeing as the photo challenge was Shadow this week, I really wanted to try to incorporate this proverb somehow. Last night, I came up with the idea of writing Worry down on a little piece of a paper and trying to see if I could get a huge shadow behind it. It didn’t work quite as I planned, but I tried. Here’s another one I did with my worry paper along with a couple other random pics.

I liked the effect on the wall that there were multiple "worries"

Worth the trouble

“He couldn’t see why people made such a fuss about people eating their silly old fruit anyway, but life would be a lot less fun if they didn’t. And there was never an apple, in Adam’s opinion, that wasn’t worth the trouble you got into for eating it.” ~from Good Omens
