1. If you had to give 1 million dollars to just one person (not your spouse), who would it be and why? If it could be family, then my mom and not just so she could then turn around and help us out with some of it……but so she could have some money to do with w/e SHE wanted….if it couldn’t be family, then I would probably give it to my best friend Tara, maybe? or another friend who could use some extra money?

2. What bathroom stall do you typically go to FIRST? I like to go to the handicapped ones because they have more room LOL…..I hate the itty bitty stalls….and if they are all small, then I usually go to the very last one cause I always feel like people can see into the stalls…yes, I am weird…and I like my privacy while in the toilet!

3. How do you prefer to shop: In-store or online? Both, although online IS a lot more convenient and easier to shop around and find the best deals…..Sometimes it’s fun to shop IN the store, though and see and touch the items or try on the clothes, though….I just love shopping in general. I would love it even more if my pocket book was fuller, though!

4. What’s the weather like in your neck of the woods? It’s in the 40′s or 50′s, pretty cloudy and foggy looking…it was really foggy and rainy this morning….I love the coolness, it feels SO good to me!

5. Do you own a pair of Tom’s and what do you think? Overrated, underrated or about right? I do NOT own a pair of Tom’s, partly because I don’t pay over $20 for shoes unless it’s a good pair of sneakers and then not too much over that even……PLUS I just don’t like the design of Tom’s; they are just NOT my style. I think the look to them is overrated because I really think they are kind of ugly, but that’s just my own opinion. The concept behind Tom’s is wonderful, however, and I’m glad that so many people DO think they are attractive because I love the idea that for every pair you buy, a kid gets a pair of shoes in an underprivileged country. Great concept and I wish they did that with ALL brands of shoes.

1. If you bake during the holidays, what is your favorite thing to make? I don’t like to cook or bake…..I think I’m good at both but it’s just not my thing

2. Present giving: Gift bag vs wrapped box? I actually LOVE wrapping presents at Christmas so I prefer to so a wrapped box but I do use gift bags if need be, as far as opening presents…..I also prefer them wrapped…there’s just something so exciting about unwrapping versus digging around in a bag

3. What do you keep your thermostat on during the winter/summer in your house? In the summer, around 65, which can be quite expensive and if we had a big house, we couldn’t do, but we have an apt. so we make do….In the winter, we actually run the air between 65-70 a lot because our winter can tend to still be warm(at least for my standards), and when we do this, our bill is an awesome price! LOL….When it gets really cold, we’ll put the heat on around 65, I don’t like having the heat warmer than 70 cause it gets too hot for me

4. When thinking of your “Christmas to-do list” what percentage “done” are you? As far as gifts I planned to buy ahead of time, I am pretty much 100% done…..but there’s a couple of people that I added to buy gifts for now that I know how much money I have left to work with….so I guess I am about 95% done then? Waiting for things to come in the mail as well so I can wrap them!

5. Do you do the “Elf on a Shelf”? If so, is your Elf naughty and what shenanigans has he gotten into? No, I don’t do this but I have friends on Facebook that do and I so enjoy seeing what their Elf has gotten up to! I really would LOVE to get one someday and do this tradition myself!

1. How many times have you moved and do you have any tips? I moved once when I was 12, then once when I first got married and again a few months later to another apt., I don’t really have any tips although I have learned the hard way to be extremely careful when moving with a computer……last time I moved, we had my computer in my dad’s van and it was in there securely, but just from the little bumps that he hit while driving, my computer ended up with a crack in the motherboard It really sucked, too, because it had lasted me a long time and was STILL in great shape….I wish I still had that one!

2. Do you have a budget for the holidays, or just keep sliding the credit card and have a heart attack in Jan? I do NOT own credit cards, never have and pretty sure I never will. I have enough debt anyway from unpaid hospital bills I can’t afford due to no insurance. I don’t have a specific budget either, I just try to find everyone a NICE gift that looks like I spent more for it but I try to find it for a great price and I try to only spend a certain amount on each person for the most part. I DO have a debit card but that’s basically like using cash cause I keep an eye on how much I have and how much I spend each place so I know I don’t spend more than I actually have.

3. What is the one medical thing you avoid like the plague? I don’t think there’s anything I specifically avoid…I prefer to stay out of the hospital or doctor appts. as much as possible JUST because I don’t have insurance and can’t afford it….but I’m not afraid of shots, bloodwork, etc.

4. What’s your least favorite Christmas song? Not sure I have one I don’t really like…..Pretty much the only time Christmas songs become annoying to me is if I hear them over and over TOO much like when I worked in JCPenney as a holiday temp., it was just like the same cd on repeat, over and over…..that can get annoying with any music!

5. This Christmas are you spending more, less or about same? Why? About the same….We are living on basically the same income as last year which means we STILL can’t afford to spend a whole lot, but I think we will be able to spend about the same as we did last year….

1. What do you give teachers for gifts? Well, I don’t have kids…but when I was little, my mom usually bought small little expensive gifts for my teachers..the only one I really remember is this little calico cat that I gave to my FAV. teacher ever named Mrs. Hill who was my English teacher for 5th and 6th grade. The only reason I remember this is because I had a chance to meet her AGAIN as an older teen when she taught my niece Sara at another school in Austin and she told me about how much she loved that calico cat along with telling me she remembered how well I used to write and she loved reading my papers. STILL my favorite teacher ever because of how well she remembered all her students…this is a rare thing, I think!

2. Do you text? One finger texter or total pro? I text sometimes yes, but I prefer a big keyboard so I can type I mostly do one finger texts because as small as my fingers are…my phone virtual keyboard that you touch is just too small to really get all my fingers and both hands into texting…in fact, I use swype a lot cause it’s just easier

3. Do you give back during the holidays? If so, in what way/which is your favorite charity? Dropping money in the kettles of Salvation Army, really, is about it……money is just really tight but I try to help out by spreading the word about things as much as I can. I like to do the “Click” sites where every click is like a donation.

4. If you would’ve been the sole winner of the 575+ million dollar Powerball jackpot, what would you have done with all that money?
I would have had to buy one first of all…LOL…but say I DID buy one and win, well…I could then actually help out some charities for one thing! I would definitely share the wealth and help out my close friends and family, buy a house and a new car since my old one’s a junker at this point! I would definitely splurge and buy some things I really want BUT I would also help out others with it and then put a reasonable amount in savings for the future!
5. Will you please take just a moment to spread the word and pray about my friend’s missing family members? There still is no news, and I can’t imagine their pain and worry. Facebook prayer page:Prayers for Trista, Shy and Matt I will definitely do this and I will encourage all of my blog readers to do so as well! 1.What snack/Drinks do you eat at the movies? In the past, I would get a soda and sometimes eat some popcorn but not every time. Now since I’m trying to eat healthier, the last time I went I got a Diet Coke(would have got water but the smallest bottle of water was $4!..>Diet Coke was cheaper for a large!) NO popcorn, just the drink and the movie was still good

2.What’s one food you refuse to ever try? There are many but any form of Chocolate covered Insect is never going to happen if I can help it! That’s just gross!

3.What’s your favorite nail polish color? I don’t know…Purple is my favorite color but I don’t paint my nails often…just my toes and I just redo them red all the time….

4.What is your favorite Thanksgiving tradition? I just love the tradition of getting family together…that’s my fav.!

5.What are your least favorite words in the English language? Even though I use them more than should, I dislike a lot of the curse words…they just sound dirty to me….especially the “C” word that people call Women to insult them…that word is just disgusting to call anyone and definitely NOT one I use at all!

1. What terrifies you the most? Those bugs that start with R….that are gross! AH! I hate them with an extreme passion! Even writing or saying the name makes me shiver! Also, I have a fear of dying alone with no one beside me Dying is something that we all must go through, I just hate the thought of having it happen with no one around

2. Favorite fall/winter drink? I don’t really have one, honestly…..I mean, Hot chocolate is ok, but my fav. drink year round is one I have only had once in 3 months, A Baja Blast from Taco Bell! LOL I am trying to drink only water BUT I may allow myself a teensy amount of cheating for Christmas, not sure….I don’t like holiday food that much but I may allow myself one soda or something just on Christmas day, you know….

3. Do you and your spouse have the same political views? Yes and no…I’m not going to go into all the differences but he has some views I disagree with completely and I consider myself more of an Independent but I admit I do have certain leanings….I have become very open minded as an adult and I question a lot of things that I believed as a kid. I believe it’s very healthy to question and always be open to hearing opposing viewpoints instead of being completely closed off. My husband is more of the type to just stick with his side and not want to change. Opposites attract though and I love him regardless, I think if both people are willing to find a middle ground, you can work it out.

4. What was the last book you read? Was it any good? Well, I’m almost done with “The Night Circus” by Erin Morgenstern and I can’t think of any past books because that is just completely consuming my mind at the moment LOL I just love it and I can’t wait to find out what happens…This book is awesome, I recommend it to people who love to read and love GOOD writing! I definitely am going to read other books by her in the future to see if they are all this good!

5. Do you look forward to the snow each winter? Why or why not? What snow? I live in East Texas and it’s a rare winter that we see snow and when we do, it’s at the most 2 inches for one day and quickly melts…we just don’t see Snow in this part of Texas but I know some parts actually do in the northern parts….We have strange weather, the most snow I have seen here was in April one year….warm one day, snow the next and it actually stuck for a bit! I happened to drive through some of it and wow, it was very disorienting, I drove like maybe 20 mph at the most and the snow coming down was making me very sleepy. I definitely applaud people who drive in it all the time, that stuff is serious! AND I am also glad we don’t see it all the time because there are too many people here that think driving through snow would be no big deal and fly through it! Accidents occur like crazy when our roads get iced over here because stupid people with NO common sense cruise over the bridges going 90 to nothing and slam their brakes on! Ok, it doesn’t take a genius to know you can’t slam your brakes when driving on ice! UGH! The insanity!

1. Who wakes up in the morning with the kids, you or hubby? Not applicable yet…but I will go ahead and answer with what I hope it will be when I DO have kids…I would hope BOTH of us would equally get up and take care of things, as in taking turns, but I also realize things don’t always happen as you wish LOL

2. Do you watch the World Series even if your team isn’t in it? I’m not a big sports person so I don’t watch it regardless…my husband watches it no matter what, though

3. What is the best compliment you have received? I’m not sure, I’m the type of girl who doesn’t like to reflect on compliments much because I kind of feel undeserving when someone DOES…which I know that’s not always a good thing but it’s just something I have to learn to accept

4. Do/did you dress up to take your kids trick or treating? Another non applicable one When I DO have kids, though, I think I probably will because I think it’s fun to have an excuse to act like a kid again!

5. Do you have a favorite bible verse? What is it and why? I think Philippians 3:14-”I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me”

1. Where do you hide junk when people come over? Is it bad to say I despise having guests over? I would just rather go to their place or somewhere else….Not enough hiding places to move all my junk around and I SO was not created as a neat and tidy woman!

2. Do political ads help you decide who you are going to vote for? No, they don’t…I fast forward through them Thank you, DVR!

3. What’s your favorite holiday party to host? Did someone miss the answer to my first question…I don’t like having guests over therefore the only way I would host is if it’s somewhere else LOL…and so far I haven’t hosted anything so I really don’t know!

4. You go to an island with your husband and can only take one personal item. What is it? My Kindle Fire….with an unlimited battery somehow? LOL…..Darn, or could I tape a bunch of books together? Wait…how long am I on this island? Am I stuck forever or is it just a vacation? cause if it’s for a few days, one book is fine…if I am stuck forever, then well…I’m screwed! No pun intended……

5. If you found out your spouse was a Dexter style serial killer (only kills people to save others) would you rat? Wow, well, first of all, that would be a little creepy to know my husband was a killer and it’d be kind of hard to overlook what he’s doing even if it was (supposedly) for a good reason….I might not rat him out but I think it would definitely be a marriage ender….I mean, killing people is kind of a huge turn off, just saying!

5. How do you eat your steak? Burger? I DON’T eat Steak and yes, I am aware that as a Texan, that makes me weird…..IF I eat a Burger, which I haven’t in forever, then well done, I guess

1. What album/cd/download are you embarrassed to admit you have? You might as well embrace your craziness, right? I still own all my Spice Girls, Britney Spears, N*sync, Backstreet Boy, etc. Cd’s and I STILL listen to them sometimes and sing along….hey, it’s nice to travel down Memory Lane at times!

2. What’s the one thing your spouse does better than you? He is better at doing sales over the phone and talking on the phone in general, I hate talking over the phone, it’s just not my thing.

3. When do you start buying Halloween Candy? I don’t give out candy to Trick or Treaters at our apts., we don’t really have many people that come by anyways and I don’t buy much of it, except rarely and just a small size for me and/or my husband…..Since I am trying to eat healthier, pretty much the only Halloween candy around will be his

4. Family closets – Yay or nay? Me and my husband share a closet and I guess I will say NAY, just because I would prefer my OWN but you don’t always have that choice so it’s fine sharing for now

5. Which home/cleaning chore do you hate the most? Why? Washing dishes…they are my nemesis which is why I try to get my hubby to do this for me as much as possible…I seriously wish I had a Dishwasher in my house, as in a PERSON who just washes my dishes, cause we have the machine……
